So Will I

If the stars were made to worship so will I
If the mountains bow in reverence so will I
If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I
For if everything exists to lift You high so will I
If the wind goes where You send it so will I
If the rocks cry out in silence so will I
If the sum of all our praises still falls shy
Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times

And as You speak
A hundred billion failures disappear
Where You lost Your life so I could find it here
If You left the grave behind You so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done
Every part designed in a work of art called love
If You gladly chose surrender so will I
I can see Your heart
Eight billion different ways
Every precious one
A child You died to save
If You gave Your life to love them so will I
Like You would again a hundred billion times
But what measure could amount to Your desire
You’re the One who never leaves the one behind

Forever in awe of these lyrics. So will I is a song that invites us into His story, showing us our smallness in this universe, yet our significance in His heart. It challenges us to see and respond to His heart for the ONE. It brings me back to my time camping under the stars in Zambia. Never have I been more aware of creation and our invitation to participate in His story. We invited the village to spend the evening with us around the fire, andmany of them agreed to receive Jesus. As we prayed, I looked at the stars and I saw the big dipper, upside down at that time of year in Zambia, as if pouring out on the people around the fire. I felt His delight in this moment, how he LOVES to pour out his spirit on the earth. How He LOVES to use us as His vessels.

In 2018, I am responding to this invitation by participating in another ORU Missions trip. Even though the trip is two weeks, ORU Missions strives to be a STRATEGIC short term investment into a long term kingdom work. I am so thankful for the way ORU Missions stretched me, broke me, healed me and equipped me. This year, my team and I will be sent to BOLIVIA, South America. I ask you to pray for us as we prepare to show the love of Jesus to the people of Bolivia!
