To raise money for my missions trip to Africa, I designed custom hand-lettered prints in exchange for donations towards my time in Zambia, Africa.
I began hand-lettering in the beginning of 2015, experimenting with various brush pens. In an age when many aspects of design have become automated and mechanical, I believe this culture craves the organic feel of handmade letters. Even as many fonts have evolved to mimic this feel, I have always favored lettering by hand because of the uniqueness of each letter. I love the personality that these letters can hold, and I it revives the human element in design. I use small brushes dipped in ink along with an assortment of brush pens.
