Saving App covers to your camera roll

Download your App Covers

Download the Stickers.zip file from your Etsy purchases. Download straight to your device, or download on your computer, email/airdrop the files to yourself and open the email on your device and download to the Files app.

Unzip Folder

In the Files app, unzip file folder by tapping on the compressed folder. Wait a few moments for the folder to be created containing the files.

You’ll find folders for all the stickers you can use in the planner, but also the app cover designs. Tap the App Cover folder.

Select Icon

Once inside the folder, at the top right, tap “Select” and then select whichever icon(s) you would like to try as the app cover.

Creating the App Shortcut

First, open up the shortcuts app.

Tap the plus button at the top to create a new shortcut.

I named my action at the top left, “Goodnotes,” but you can name whichever PDF annotation app you want to use.

SCRIPTING

Choose “Scripting” from the menu on the right side — you’re going to be creating a shortcut that automatically opens whatever app you choose when you select the new icon.

Next, tap “Open App.”

Tap the blue app field which brings up a list of all the apps on the iPhone, and choose the PDF annotation app that you are using for your planner.

Tap the controls icon at the top right, see image shown below.

Tap “Add to Home Screen”

In the pop up window, you finally have the option to choose what photo from your albums to use as an icon.

Hit “Add” and you are all set!
